Great Freedom - Restful Awareness Practice

Candice O'Denver's Great Freedom Teaching includes a simple Restful Awareness practice that serves as an aid in the process of ego disidentification:

Rest as awareness for short moments, repeated many times, until it becomes continuous.

Ego Identification and Disidentification

I've been reading Stanley Sobottka's "A Course in Consciousness", and it's very interesting. For example, Chapter 11 covers levels of identification and the resulting polar pairs, separation, and suffering. Also, I found a related animation that was inspired by the teachings of Wayne Liquorman and Ramesh Balsekar:

The Ego - Perpetually Incomplete

Lately I've been watching lots of videos on the topic of nondual awareness. For example, conscious.tv has lots of interviews on the topic of non duality (also available as a youtube playlist).

Here is a video by Scott Kiloby in which he describes the nature of the time bound, thought based, perpetually incomplete, conceptual self identity that is the ego (though he doesn't actually refer to it as the ego).
